A great brush for your dressing table. The olivewood has a real satiny feel and the wooden bristles are gentle to hair and scalp.
Sustainably sourced olivewood, maplewood bristles in natural rubber cushion and wooden bristles glued using non toxic wood glue thinned down with water.
The olive tree grows very slowly making the olivewood very dense and hard. The wood is also characterised by a high oil content making olivewood the ideal material to be used in moist environments.
Approximately 22 cm (8.5'') long.
Tips for looking after your brush:
Wipe clean with moist cloth if necessary, or clean your hairbrush with a little bit of soapy warm water and a toothbrush (or similar). Do not immerse in water as this will damage the wood and wooden bristles. Lightly re-oil with olive oil if wood has become dry.
Please note that natural rubber can get brittle and damaged over time when in contact with hair care products and excessive heat therefore please keep brush away from hair dryers and avoid contact with hairsprays and other such products.
There is always 1 'bristle' missing from the cushion which appears as a small hole. This is not a fault but ensures that air can escape from the inside of the cushion when the brush is in used and the cushion is compressed. Without this escape mechanism the cushion would feel rigid and firm and be less gentle on the scalp.
