Our latex free mattress is crafted from of 10 layers of natural and untreated horsehair, hand tufted into an organic cotton drill cover with organic wool under-quilting to add an extra layer of comfort to your mattress.  This is a traditional mattress with a firm, non-springy feel and superb temperature and moisture regulating properties, creating a wonderful sleep environment.

A unique characteristic of horsehair is its hygroscopic nature, meaning it can absorb up to 25% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp. While we sleep, our bodies release moisture, which is absorbed by the mattress. During the day, when the bed is aired out, the moisture is easily released. This process helps maintain a comfortable and dry microclimate in the bed, especially during the summer when temperatures are high.

We recommend that you turn this mattress frequently.
