Horsehair is very springy natural material that retains its shape well. It has been used for many hundreds of years in upholstery and mattresses.

It also has excellent moisture balancing qualities and is said to have anti-rheumatic properties.

Our loose horsehair comes primarily from European horses; it is washed at 90 degrees with natural soap and air dried for 24 hours.

This is the cleanest and most ethical horsehair we've found.
