Sleeping well with organic duvets

Getting a great night's sleep is essential, and with almost 30 years experience in the natural bedding business, we've created a range of natural duvets to help you get a brilliant night's sleep.   Whatever stops you from drifting off,  discover our range of duvets designed to give everyone a restful and restorative night's sleep, waking up feeling fresh and revived and ready for the day ahead.

When picking your perfect duvet, there's a few things to think about - including warmth, weight and washing - and our simple guide to choosing the best duvet for you is right here.

Why you're going to sleep better under an Greenfibres duvet:

Whilst the weights, warmth and feel of our duvets varies,  it's good to know that all Greenfibres duvets are filled with only natural fibers, making them great at regulating temperature and moisture levels helping you keep comfortable all night long.   So much better than sweaty sythentics that hold moisture close to your skin, making sleeping uncomfortable.   It's good to know that whether you're too hot at night, or being cold keeps you awake, there's a natural duvet that's going to work for you.   You'll also sleep more easily knowing that because our duvets are wrapped up in organic cotton covers,  it means the cotton has been grown without synthetic chemicals, and the cotton fabrics have been made without dodgy dyes and bleaches or coated in toxic finishing agents, great for your skin, and kind to our planet.

Our innovative duvet design is crafted for better sleep.

Giving our customers great sleep is at the heart of our bedding range.   We've created a unique quilting design on our duvets that's wider at the top, and tapered towards the bottom, which allows the duvet to form a soft cocoon around you as you sleep, keeping out draughts and keeping you comfortable all night long.   We also add ties to the corners of our duvets which allow you to tie them together for extra warmth.   Our organic cotton casing is crafted with a percale weave, a crisp and cooling cotton fabric that helps our duvets maintain their breathability, and is smooth on sensitive skin.  We also cut out duvets generously to allow for the initial shrinkage in the first few weeks due to heat and moisutre created whilst you sleep.   We're so proud of our duvets, we've even quilted our Greenfibres cotton bud logo into every one.

There's a Greenfibres duvet for everyone

Our organic and natural duvets come in a range of weights for different seasons, and for hot and cold sleepers.  Our natural fillings include wool and camel hair, as well as options for vegans and those who follow a plant-base lifestyle.   If you're looking for washable duvets because of allergies, or you're buying for child then we've got those too.   Our duvets last a long time, but once it's time for your to update your duvet, it's good to know that it will totally biodegrade - so no filling up landfills with plastics and polyesters that will stick around for ever.

The Greenfibres Natural Duvet Guide

Extra Light Natural Duvets - 3 tog.

The best duvet for hot climates, hot summers or for people that overheat at night, or suffer from night sweats.  Our extra-light duvet is a lightweight 3-tog that will keep you covered, whilst helping keep you cool.  If the thought of just a sheet is too lightweight, then our silk extra light duvet is perfect.  Silk is an excellent choice for people that suffer from sensitivies and allergies, and is also availble as an all year duvet too.

Lightweight/Summer Duvets - 5 - 6 tog

A more weighty feel than our extra light, but still wonderful through warmer weather.  These are the duvets we recommend for summer, or people that want to stay cooler all through the year.   With two options to choose from, our organic cotton lightweight duvet is vegan friendly for those following a plant based lifestyle, or if you prefer a slightly weightier feel but still with excellent heat regulation through the warmer months then our organic summer wool duvet is here.

All Year Duvets - 10 tog

If you only want to buy one duvet - then an all year duvet at 10 togs is ideal.   The natural fibres with breathable cotton cover will suit through all weathers - and our range or organic and ethically sourced fillings to help you sleep well.  If being plant based is important to you, choose organic cotton and kapok, or tencel duvets.    When sensitive skin or allergies stop you from sleeping well,  our wild silk all year duvet is wonderful.   When alleriges mean you want to wash your duvet regularly our tencel duvets are machine washable.  When you want luxury or if you get too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer then the best duvet for you is our camel hair duvet.   The camel hair ethically collected from camels, by hand combing their bellies or collecting the hair when it naturally sheds in the spring.   Camels need to withstand hot desert days, and cold desert nights, so the natural heat regulating properites can't be beaten!   If you're looking for brilliant heat and moisture regulating on a lower budget then wool is wonderful, and available in an all season duvet here.

Winter Duvets - 14 tog

For extra cold nights, cold homes or people that feel cold... then nothing beats our winter grade natural duvets, at a super cosy 14 togs.    Our organic wool winter duvet is deeply filled for warmth all night long,  with the wool fibres naturally wicking moisture away from your skin, and the air pockets between the fibres holding on to heat, and keeping you cosy.

Caring for your natural duvets

Wool duvets and camel hair duvets:

Duvets made with animal fibres including our wool and camel hair duvets, will regenerate themselves naturally, simply air your duvet regularly, outside whenever possible.  You can spot clean any marks or stains with a wool detergent, just make sure it's totally dry before putting back in the cover.  We don't tend to recommend dry cleaning due to the environmental impact, but if you need to then please search out an eco-friendly one.

Cotton and Kapok duvets:  Air your duvet regularly, preferably outside and expose to sunlight, and spot-clean any marks with a natural detergent, we recommend the natural range by Sonett

You can machine wash the cotton and kapok duvet at a maximum 40 degrees C, in a gentle wash,  please see washing instructions on the label for full details.  Air dry only (do not tumble dry) and you'll need to dry the duvet flat,  so don't hang in on the line or over a bannister.   Because our organic cotton is untreated and not bleached,  part of the vegetable residue within the cotton may discolour the cover after it has become wet.

Dry-cleaning: It is possible to dry-clean this duvet, we always recommend choosing an eco-friendly dry cleaners if you choose this option.

Tencel duvets As with all our duvets, air your duvet regularly, preferably outside, and spot-clean any stains or marks.  This duvet is machine washable at max 40 degrees C, in a gentle wash, and air dry the duvet flat (please don't tumble dry)
