So many of us struggle with our sleep for many different reasons: overheating, being too cold, night sweats, and uncomfortable stiff necks and shoulders - whatever is disrupting your sleep, it's good to know there's a grain pillow that can help.   Our all natural grain pillows are filled with organic husks, well known for their therapeutic effects, with the different grains providing different solutions to supply you with a better nights sleep. Naturally vegan friendly.

The best grain pillow for night sweats:

Night sweats can be a big sleep disruptor, leaving you tired and exhausted before the day has begun. It's good to know that switching out your pillow for a grain pillow like organic buckwheat can really help. The pyramid shaped husks create air pockets that help regulate heat and moisture, and contributing to a cooler, drier much more pleasant sleep environment. The irregular shaped buckwheat husks also provide a deeply massaging effect as you snooze, which is why they’re our most popular pillows for spas and therapists.

If you get cold at night

Being cold at night can disturb your sleep, so an organic spelt pillow is a good choice as the husks help retain warmth, but the irregular shapes still allow good air flow but without overheating.

When you want to create a cooling environment

A millet pillow has a cooling effect, so is ideal for those of us that get too warm or through the warmer months. The millet husks are rounded and release heat effectively as you roll around on them at night.

Grain pillows offer a range of different support, for different needs

Choose buckwheat and it’s irregular husks for a deeply massaging effect, it’s our most popular pillow for spas and massage therapists for this very reason. Spelt has a naturally high silica content which can be beneficial for stiff necks and shoulders whilst providing a medium massaging effect. The tiny round millet husks offer a gentle support, moulding around your head and neck as you move around, it feels like drifting off on a very fine bean bag.

Good to know: All our grain fillings are organic, and are wrapped in an organic cotton case. This means they've been grown without synthetic pesticides or treated with toxic chemicals, offering a pure sleeping experience. They also have minimal impact on our environment, and should you ever decide you no longer want them, they’re totally biodegradable too. If you want your organic grain pillow to be firmer or softer, then you can simply unzip the organic cotton case to add or remove fillings.

Our grain pillows do not attract bugs:  One questions we often get asked, is if our grain pillows attract bugs like dust mites.   The good news is no - this is because our grain pillows are made up of fully de-hulled husks, so they have no nutritional value to dust mites, there's nothing for them to eat.   The hollowed out husks also create maximum air flow around the grains and through the pillow, preventing the sweaty, humid atmosphere that dust mites love.   If you have had pillows before that have harboured dust mites and other undesirables then it's usually because the husks haven't been properly de-hulled or cleaned before the pillow was made.

Caring for your pillows: The grains aren’t washable, but you can unzip and remove the organic cotton cover should you wish to wash it. If you ever need to dry out the grains, then simply spread them out over a dry flat surface and leave in a warm dry space.
